Not to be in poor taste, my dinner…this beef was from a different farm. I think the cows above are dairy cows, they all were babies or had huge udders.
Hint: Asparagus festival time. My desert was beer-batter deep-fried asparagus drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with sliced strawberries.

OK, I kind of tricked you, had I said Spargel Festival you would have been closer. I think it was spargel festival time all over Germany. I ate a lot of Spargel, white, green and deep-fried with chocolate sauce.
The cows were so gorgeous. I am no expert but I think these were some very fine animals. Again, the livestock here were very people oriented. Smaller operations and they have more interaction with people. This was about 1 hour north of Frankfurt.
The bottom picture of mom and calf—-I am positive that is a bull calf—is that not the look you see on a little boy when his mother is fussing over him?
