Strut knows all her schutzhund 3 obedience and tracking and runs all the blinds as of late fall 2009. She is extremely smart and also compliant which is a hard to beat combination. Randy and I did the table work to get intensity in the bark and hold while in the defense drive though as soon as she does a good job with that he switches immediately to prey drive as you can see. He is without equal when it comes to reading a dog and knowing when to push and when to back off. Strut is going to finish all her titles this year. Right now she is Strut vom Eichenluft BH at 15 months. Like Polo and Chip she will finish her training for the 3 and then go through the titles in a few months VERY much thanks to my dear friend and mentor, Randy Rhodes.
What is the saying….. “Train for the 3 not for the B” ?
I only have the smallest understanding of different drives and using them to train for protection work. Very interesting, I have never seen “table work.”
There is so much bad table work out there that I was happy to be able to show what a master Randy is at it! It is so important to give a young dog a good experience and know just how much to push.

Thanks Barb! I love watching dogs work on the table or in the box (when done correctly, of course).
It’s very interesting to see table work. Barb, thank you for sharing.
