Happy holidays to all! At this time of year, my thoughts often turn to the things I am grateful for. Having Pieka in our lives and making so many friends through the Alta Tollhaus family are certainly on that list. I hope you all are prosperous and happy in 2010.
We have some big news. We are moving to New Hampshire! I have accepted a new job as in-house labor and employment counsel for C&S Wholesale Grocers, a very large company located in Keene, New Hampshire.
Keene is a beautiful town. When you imagine an idyllic New England small town, that is where we will be living. I am really looking forward to living in a small town again. I’ve been in Columbus for awhile now and I am not a city girl at heart.
It’s also a huge bonus that we’ll be about 45 minutes to 1 hour from Celeste Meade’s training facility. Celeste is very well known in AKC circles and is a very successful coach who uses positive methods. I am really excited about the opportunity to train with her group.
Shane and I were in New Hampshire this weekend to find a new house…and got stuck in the D.C. travel situation. Thank goodness, my mom was staying with the dogs! Good news, we found a house already! Here are some pictures for you- there is some painting and small work to be done (and this is not our furniture of course) but the house is in pretty good shape.
Best of all, we will be living on 2.77 acres. Julie, I know that’s chump change for you (ha!) but that is a huge improvement over our current little yard. We are planning to fence in nearly an acre in the “back yard” for the dogs.
Congratulations!!!! Looks like a nice house! 🙂
Congratulations, on the new job and the new home.
How exciting! That is a lovely home and it is always nice to hear good news!
Your dogs will appreciate all the extra room to run…
Best wishes on your new job and home!
Congratulations on the new job and house!
I love New England! Look at that driveway, beautiful! The house is gorgeous, and almost 3 acres that is marvelous. Does the new job mean it will be easier to get time off???
@Julie
I hope so, Julie! I get 3 weeks of PTO per year to start with. I plan to use it. 😉
I think Pieka is going to ADORE the huge yard, once we get it fenced, and Shane will be home most of the time so that she will get a lot more free time and exercise throughout the day.
Luckily, I have a few Rottweiler friends up in that area, so I already have referrals to a holistic vet, stores that sell my preferred brands of dog food, etc.
