Zamp vom Thermodos Puppies Have Arrived
Maika is now the proud mother of 4 beautiful female puppies. The girls are sired by the legendary VA1 Zamp vom Thermodos SchH3 KKL1a LBZ. Since Maika was not due to have her pups until October 3rd, I prepared and planned on going to work on Wednesday, my first day back since attending the BLH in Stettbach Germany. However, upon attempting to leave the house, Maika barred my way and told me with perfect clarity I was to stay home with her and hold her paw. It was a very hard-long delivery as the puppies were huge. Like goldfish, they seem to grow to fill the space, one of the issues of having a smaller litter. Thank you Mos for staying up with me all night and helping with the whelping. No pictures yet because I didn’t get to sleep until after 4 am this morning and then for only a few hours. The pups are very uniform, have dark-rich color, they are robust, strong-willed, and one likes the sound of her voice—yes I know they can’t hear yet but that isn’t stopping her. Maika is exhausted but being well nourished with several servings of Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream (because I believe ice cream makes everything better) and Iams biscuits. More later…

Yay!!! Puppies!!! The pup that likes to hear her voice would fit in with Charlie and Wally. Well maybe not, she’d have to bark over two shelties. 🙂
Congrats! This should be a FANTASTIC litter – I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out! If you need a puppy socializer, I might have to make a trip up!

Congratulations Julie and Maika!! Glad to hear mom and puppies are doing well.
These pups will be priceless! Congratulations to everyone involved, especially those who gave up their beauty sleep to help Maika with the delivery. Looking forward to the photos of these beauties.
