My camera is in the shop, so I am suffering withdrawl and forced to use a point & shoot. Blech!
The Japanese Raintrees are starting to bloom—first yellow, then brilliant red. There are thousands of honey bees covering each tree. You can hear the buzzing from a distance! Now is not the time to be without a good camera.
While I was focused on capturing the bees, the other busy bee was entertaining herself:
“Hey, I’m out of water here—can’t finish my facial!”
Did I mention that she just had a bath?
Carole, even your point and shoot pix are fabby!
So Garbo is your new baby? Kayla is with Julie? What is going on? I can’t keep up with you guys!
Those are some muddy paws for just having had a bath. I loved the recent post showing Garbo on the postage stamps – too cute….
LOL—yes, I guess it can be hard to keep up with us!
My #1 is in Germany for training. Julie got tired of hearing me whine about Kayla being away, so she sent Garbo to keep me company. Or….Julie got tired of hearing be whine about Kayla being away, so for my punishment she sent Garbo. 😉
What you couldn’t tell from those crappy pix was that Garbo’s face was also covered in mud! The good part is that with a little towel drying, she is once again spotless.
Carole it must run in the family, Gavin knows when I’m done cleaning the horses and am going to fill the water tubs, he sees me heading for the water spicket and starts to bark and whine while he grabs the hose and tries to get it away from me, water spraying all over both of us, I told him he has to quit when it gets down in the 20’s !!!!
Lorie, be prepared to get wet no matter the temp! You have an Alta-Tollhaus dog—it is in his DNA!
Hi, Carole,
Your p & s photos are great. It’s always the eye behind the camera that’s most important. I love the bee photo. The Japanese Raintree is gorgeous – please post an update when it turns red. Does it have a heavenly fragrance?
Garbo and Gracie look like twins to me. Has Garbo filed for permanent Florida citizenship yet!?
Thank you, Margot. The tree has no fragrance, but it is very pretty.
Garbo has not filed for permanent FL citizenship—she says it is toooooo hot here! She might sing a different tune when snow starts falling in other areas. 😉
Carole, aren’t you starting in on the weather banter a little early this year.
You know you will lose – we Michiganders outnumber you Floridians here on the blog.
However, Gia is starting to get her “pants” already. (I always think the pups look like they are wearing Dr. Denton’s.) Now that she is six months old already, she is losing that cute puppy look and getting those pants you admire so much…
So to clarify about Garbo – she is a loaner from Julie to keep you company while the lovely one is in Germany?
Kimberly, right now I’d prefer to have your MI weather! However, I don’t think that will be the case within a month or two.
You’ll have to post a picture of Gia with her new pants! She will be a beauty. Garbo is starting to lose some of her puppy fuzz—it will be awhile before we see pants.
Yes, Julie graciously loaned Garbo to keep me company.
Those are big-fat honey bees….this is a good thing
