Lee Poland lost his dog, Alex, quite suddenly. Alex lived a long-life. While Lee had been mentally preparing for the time when he and Alex would say goodbye, he still assumed that there were still a few more years before that day arrived. Alex departed quickly and without warning. Lee is feeling a paradox of emotions, shock, sadness, and relief that his old friend is suffering no more. Alex’s litter-sister, Amy, is still with Lee and that gives him some comfort. Bear (Hoss x Funny) is also Lee’s dog. Is he a comfort to Lee right now? I really don’t know, personally my guess is he will let Lee mope around for a day or two but after that Bear will tell him its time to go play—Bear is kind of a party-boy.
From Amy Hiscock about the loss of her Tori-Ann:
I am writing this to all of you with tears in my eyes. Tori-Ann passed away yesterday due to complications from an ear infection. Tricia Speed and I were on the phone daily with each other and the vet trying to figure out what was going on and why she wasn’t recovering.
Thank you Mary Howison for meeting me at MSU Small Animal Clinic and filling out the paperwork while I got to say my goodbyes to my baby girl.
She hated the show ring but she did it for me. She was a Diva to the very end……. Rest in Peace Tori-Ann I love you Baby Girl

No words can really help right now, but just wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Thank you to each one of you for the comforting words. Also a special thank you to Julie for the great tribute to both Alex and Tori-Ann. I know that they are both running free and without pain.
Lee I can assure you that the pain and heartbreak will lessen in time and the wonderful memories of Alex will lift your spirits along with Bear’s happy energy and antics.
I am very sorry that I am late to this post, but also wanted to express my sympathy for both losses. I hope the wonderful memories you have of your companions bring you comfort.
