We just wanted to write and share some pictures with you. Fuzzy turned 1 on May 8, 2009 and we just had to have a party with the grandkids for her.
She has been such a great addition to our family. She is so sweet and nice with others, dogs and people of all ages! Recently we visited my 86 year old Mom and she was so gentle and nice with her…she is now Mom’s favorite grand-dog! Fuzz had to travel 12 hours to meet her and she was such a good traveler!
Recently we have been playing a new game with her, we are teaching her to track us and she is so good at it already. First Bob will bring her inside so she can’t see where he is going , then he walks all over our property , and through the trails in our woods, then he hides. I then let Fuzz out and tell her to go find Daddy. She follows his exact walking pattern and finds him every time! It amazes me how smart she is. She is following a trail of about a 1/2 mile, so we think that is pretty good for a one year old, don’t you think? She also finds me in the same way! Next we will see if she will track the grand-kids, she really loves them!
Bob has also been teaching her to hunt moles in the yard…she has the digging up the yard down pat, now we just need her to find a mole!
I could go on and on with all the fun stories of our Fuzzy, she has enriched our lives so much! Soon we’ll be on the lake sailing again with her, can’t wait!
We thought you would like to see some new pictures of her. And don’t worry, we don’t usually give her cake, however, she does love a ice cream cone now and then.
Yours truly’
Bob and Wendy & Opal Fuzz
Happy Birthday Fuzz!
Bob & Wendy, I’d say that you have a marvelous tracking dog and a great ambassador for our breed! Please continue to keep us posted on your family adventures.
The photos tell it all – this beautiful girl is loved to the max! Happy Birthday, Fuzzy Opal!
Looks like a great time and party was had by all. Happy Birthday Fuzzy Opal! 🙂 JH
I remember when she was a tiny puppy and you wanted to know how to teach her to shake hands. Now she’s out there tracking people. She has really grown up!
Happy Birthday Fuzzy Opal!
