The pictures don’t really capture the sweetness. This is the kind of dog that will move two feet to lay down beside me, as I move around the house and home office.
I took Lindi for a vet check today. The vet said she was “extraordinary”. After the check he asked me where I got her and I told him, and mentioned you were married to Dr. Mostosky who is a professor at MSU. It turns out that the vet is one of Mos’s former students. He was completely reverent and ended up not charging me for the vet check as a “professional courtesy”—-this is in Ann Arbor!
Karen
Karen—welcome to the family! Cute, cute photos. My favorite is Leah & Lindi.
Julie & Mos have outstanding reputations—you couldn’t ask for more reliable or honest people. We are blessed to have them in our dog fancy.
The first time I took Schumi to my vet in Grand Rapids, she gushed about him too because she knew of Dr. Mos! I got charged though! 😉
Leah and Lindi are BOTH adorable!
Super cute pictures!
Mos re-did Allie’s xrays today. We are sending them in to the German SV for the A-Stamp. It is amazing that only 8 weeks after having 10 puppies (1 died at birth) that her hip xrays look so good.
That is incredible you had a no-charge vet visit from and Ann Arbor vet—they have a bit of a reputation for knowing how to charge.
The no-charge vet visit was one hundred percent based on your reputation Julie, and of course Mos’s, and the fact the the puppy is so beautiful.
Growing up with a Mom as a vet spoiled me in regards to veterinary care. I always had a vet on call and the services were always no-charge. Since Mom has retired, I was required to seek vet care in the conventional way. I by-passed the glitzy mega corporations with specialists in every area of animal care for a one vet, one tech clinic close to our neighborhood. I figured I could always find a specialist if I needed one, but most of the time we just needed a vet with a common sense approach to care and a continued relationship with both me and my beautiful dog. It was my extreme good fortune that this person also had a special experience as a student of Mos’s.
Lindi is showing her more spirited side today. I don’t know if it is because she is feeling more secure in her new environment, or because she is now off the flagel. It was so much fun to see her figure out how she could open a file drawer that Leah had attached a rope to (probably thinking it was a way to keep it shut 🙂
The honeymoon period is officially over!
Not only because she was your mother but also because she is extremely astute.
I agree 1000%! Well said.
Beautiful photos! Congratulations on your pretty puppy girl.
