Okay, I’m supposed to be writing the Letter from the President for the Flute Association and it’s just not coming. I’ve the first paragraph (took forever) and my brain needs a break, or is it procrastination? Regardless, I thought the “letters” would become easier with time, they seem to be more difficult.
I just scrolled the blog (yep, procrastination) and I am never posting another photo…I SUCK! On the other hand I realize some would like to see Rudi, thankfully I didn’t cut off his head, 😉 so I will persevere with my photo practice. I so enjoy everyone’s photos regardless if it’s dogs, people, nature or hummers. Geez Carole, you really have talent. 🙂 You too Julie. And Carole, listen to Julie about your name on your photos…ASK MY SISTER! A lesson learned at a tender age. She shot a photo in Tallahassee at the Junior Museum during a visit while I was a student. GOT A PHOTO TO DIE FOR. Anyway, a while later she entered it in a competition in Indianapolis, don’t remember the exact ? venue ??? student, journalist, professional, whatever. Anyway, it wasn’t signed (pre digital days) and someone swiped the photo. Yep, it was the original.
Secondly, Julie I want you to know Rudi “performed” great at his first SAR training session on Sunday. We will both be attending/observing the HRD test certification in Holiday, FL (north of Tampa) this Saturday. Rudi was well behaved on Sunday as well as doing a stellar job for his first outing. I’m so happy we have both been asked to attend or I would probably be staying home. Peter is just nuts busy at work and can’t even think of taking a break. I’m not ready to board Rudi for the weekend just yet. Hilda is good for the day lounging home alone no problem, but Rudi is still crated when we are not at home and I just refuse. I’m sure he’d be fine boarding with Dr. Brown, but if he can’t stay with his Auntie Carole or Kathy…not just yet.
I am so happy to have this opportunity to observe the testing with the future in mind and NO STRESS! Yet another new place to visit for Rudi, he is a very good traveler.
Carole, the ground beef is working!!! Thank you. Julie, he also likes to get his food off the floor, we do have carpeting by the way and it’s designer Rudi paws at the moment, but that’s what Stanley Steamer is for.
For the big news! I’m on the Alta-Tollhaus Diet, the Rudi Plan. Had a Dr’s appointment I was dreading, really feeling gloomy. HA! Lost 5 lbs., blood pressure is better (may be able to go off meds) AND my good cholesterol was up and the bad was down. Dr. said keep up the good work and I’ll see you in July. Yippee. Julie, think you should write a diet book and we can get on OPRAH??? I’m not crying though. 😉
This Email is procrastinating at it’s best. You guys have a great time in Chicago. I love that city, so clean and full of life, culture and the arts. One of my cousins and his wife live in Chicago, they are expecting their first baby. I really would have made an effort to join you if I wasn’t already teaching and going to Tampa on Saturday. Anyway, go Alta-Tollhaus GSD. I’ll be thinking of all of you. Safe travels. Julie H 🙂
Julie H. Your SAR training is so interesting. I know nothing about it, keep writing about it, it is very interesting.
The Flute Assoc., also interesting, had no idea there was one! 🙂

Julie, one of these days, I want to come to one of your concerts! I’ll try to behave myself!
I know that you and Mr. Rudi will just plain rock in your SAR efforts. Since I probably know you more than the rest of “the family”, I can add that even though you are both crazy clowns, you take your jobs seriously. We will all be in good hands with you & Rudi out there.
