Niro, Kora, Matt and myself have just returned from visiting Matt’s Dad in Tucson, AZ, then took a spin around Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon and Zion in Utah. All in all this was a mammoth 5,500 mile road trip with the most perfect canine companions. We could not have asked for more well behaved travellers, not a squeak out of them on the journey and nothing a bully stick wouldn’t cure in the hotel rooms! I have included some photos I took whilst trying to get used to my new Canon 5D. Not the best shots of Niro and Kora – Niro was just too excited to sit still long enough to get a good pose! I was trying to do some artistic stuff with the aperture priority on the second shot (Left Mitten, Monument Valley). Anyway, you get the idea.

Beautiful photos, Andrea! Thank you for sharing. Looks like Nero was on a great vacation!
Great photos! What amazing scenery. Niro looks good!
Wow gorgeous! The orange rock and the blue sky are stunningly beautiful. What a great vacation. I love traveling with my dogs and when I travel without them they are the ones I miss most.
What a great place to break-in the new Canon 5d!
Thank you for sharing your vacation with us!
You are right. I love to travel both in the US and overseas but when I have to leave Kora, even with my brother and sister in law, it is heart wrenching. Now we have Niro, it will only be worse. It takes me a couple of days to (somewhat) stop worrying, then a couple of days before my return, she (they) is all I think of. I think we’ll be doing a lot more domestic road trips now rather than overseas trips.
I had to cancel our appointment with Ron on Tuesday as Matt has to go up north on business but I have rescheduled for May 5th. I’ll let you know how we get on. We are so looking forward to it.
Great photos! Looks like all of you had a great vacation.
