My current “project” is Gonzo, a 2 year old Portuguese podengo (smooth pequeno). He has lived in a kennel all of his short life, but I’ve had him three weeks now. My plan was to housebreak him, socialize him and find him a new home. He is still fearful, having not experienced much before, but he is doing great. he is very cuddly and smart and is learning new tricks every day.
Anybody know of someone looking for a nice little dog? He would make a lovely pet or he could make a decent performance prospect for someone not looking to be world class.
This boy needs a home ASAP, as he is in serious danger of becoming one of my permanent pack (that’s the last thing I need). Gonzo is about 12″ tall and about 15 pounds. he is very food motivated and gets along well with all other dogs he’s met. Price is quite reasonable to the right home.
Charlene I think that Gonzo has already found an excellent home! Look at the smile on that boy’s face! He sure is a cute little dog.
Carole don’t encourage her! She needs to make room for another GSD.
He is cute though!
Indeed, I need little encouragement to keep him. I like this little dog. My husband has this silly idea that seven dogs is enough though. T
he only reason Gonzo was able to come visit was because Ostara came into season and went back to Julie’s. I figured I’d be able to place him quickly because lots of people “just love” my little Calypso (his niece) and want one “just like her.” okay, so he isn’t just like her, but he’s close enough!
Anyway, if he stays there is no room for a GSD. However, if someone wants a Portuguese podengo medio (wire), Evita is looking for a lazy pet home. if she moves out, then there is room…
Charlene you are a too valuable GSD home to not have room for another German Shepherd! You are a GSD person and just won’t admit it!
