Coons are to me what deer are to Julie! One of the coons came today for an afternoon snack. This is a fairly new one—all nice and clean and very silver. So I chased it up a tree with the garden hose. Since this is a new coon and still afraid of humans, it ran up one of our tallest oak trees—too far up for a decent photo.
Here what you get instead of a wet coon:
He was way up in the tree also—just not as high up as the coon!
Don’t be too jealous of the peaches. I only ever get to eat a few each year. If one were to eat our local venison, one would say that the meat tastes like peaches!
It never fails—when I try to photograph this flower, it is always windy!
#1 – beautiful framing of the dove with the tree branches
#2 – one word – Fencing
#3 – Colors, subject superb. The soft focus adds to the beauty of the photo. I don’t recognize the flower – what is it?
#1 – thank you!
#2 – Ha,ha,ha! There is a fence directly behind the tree. The raccoon is part of the bear family and very smart. I have coons go up one tree, cross the branches, and down another tree to get into the yard.
#3 – This is an aloe plant blossom!
The back ground on the last photo makes it look like a painting, very beautiful.
Raccoons are so cute!
Thank you Julie.
Raccoons are really cute—but they drive me nuts!
Raccoons are really cute! I have had two pet rescues over the years and have many stories to tell! They are very, very smart. They make for a good deal of trouble in residential areas. But, I just love them.
The raccoons come up on our deck on summer nights and cause quite the ruckus when Kirsh & Ekko see them. You’d think they’d run away from the big guys, separated by only a sliding glass door, but they seem satisfied to amble around the deck looking for dropped sunflowers from the bird feeder.
