I have been thinking about our last “echat” and what you said about Jack and how dogs always love him and how he doesn’t always take the best pictures. For a hoot, I am sending two of my absolute favorite photos of a much younger Jack (circa 1995) with a very young Buddie. I love the one where they are nuzzling – to me it is the definition of a “candid” photo as they are so much in love they are completely oblivious to my presence.
Also, check out that ponytail on Jack…..And because you know who (Chief – Hoss x Zucca) demands equal time, I have included two of my favorites of him as a youngster with his dad also. And what a perfect subject to look directly at the camera during his bath.
Also, I have sent some recent winter pictures of Chief taken with my new little point and shoot camera. The Nikon you recommended is really cool, but unfortunately not priced within my monthly “mad money” budget. It is more like something to set money back for, but I can use the p & s just to get used to digital format, zooming, etc. and work up to the Nikon. You were so right about the totally annoying lag time – I noticed it right away. Half the time you miss the shot you want! I would love for everyone to see these winter actions shot of Chief when they are actually timely (usually my pics are out of season). I especially love the one where he is standing by the fence looking all serious.
and the one where he is running toward me – his feet are off the ground
This one, well, something pissed him off.
Hope you like them as much as I do.
Kimberly
ps – have you noticed the skyrocketing price of dog food?
Kimberly, Chief is very handsome! Great snow shots, but I especially love the puppy in the tub! It is fun to see then and now photos.
Wow – Chief looks like a very handsome pooch with a gorgeous plush coat. The bathtub photo is adorable!
Yes to the dog food question – I wouldn’t mind if wages were skyrocketing too!
Thanks guys for all the nice compliments – I will pass them on to him. He was a cute little guy – certainly couldn’t fit in that washtub now. I feel like he has really grown up and is looking like an adult male now (of course he still acts like a puppy lots of the time) and these winter pix show that. I call him my serious clown!
Carole, just for you I am determined to dust off the old kiddy pool in the shed this summer, fill it up with water and let him have at it. Photos will follow. (Provided of course that he allows us to hook up the hose he tore down).
Something to look forward to after all this snow, right? We know how our Hoss pups love the water…..
Margot- I just recently figured out that Vida and Chief have the same mother, right? No wonder I am drawn to him. I cannot believe your recent pix of him swimming in that COLD water. Wow – that was amazing. I wonder if Chief can swim or would enjoy swimming? I know his litter got in Julie’s pond and some of them were swimming around in there. One of my brothers lives on the river and keeps asking me to bring him over, but I am afraid he might see the water and plunge in – he is so headstrong!
I am afraid he would get washed away!
