Hal recently sent me these pictures of his dogs. This is “Bob” he is out of a working line female, a Dastra daughter (Dastra is Chopper’s mother) and my Best-in-Show American-line male, Ky. I was experimenting by combining German and American lines. Bob has to be getting up there in age since Ky died several years ago.
This is Hayden, VA Orbit vom Tronje x Faye vom Kirschental, 100% German breeding a combination of high-line and herding lines; Bob, and Oliver. Oliver is from my last 100% American-line breeding that I did.
Bob again.
Hey Hal you have some really nice looking dogs.

Handsome boys Hal.
American, American/German, German—doesn’t matter. You’ve bred some really nice dogs Julie. You’ve always made good decisions.
Wow! I have seen Bob in person, I never would have guessed he was working/American cross! Granted I didn’t really pay attention to his conformation but just looking at him in that pic from the front he looks German. Half brother to Chopper, never would have guessed.
You should post that on the GSD forum and see if all the usual know-it-alls can guess the type, hehe.
Merry Christmas, Hal!
Your family of dogs is like a living history of Julie’s exemplary breeding program. They are all absolutely handsome boys. Great photos!
Are you still getting your hair cut in Ann Arbor? You should stop by and we can talk dogs and tomatoes. It’s never too early to begin planning next year’s gardens, right?
Happy New Year, too!
What a handsome bunch!
Carole that is a wonderful compliment! Thank you so much!
Thank you everyone for all your gracious comments! Holiday & New Year to everyone too! Hal D
