Ostara earned her tracking certification in Lansing this morning. Momma Julie was there to see it, but had to hide in her car because Ostara kept wanting to visit with her. she also wanted to visit the judge (many times), but when she tracked she did very well. She found all the turns and articles with no problem, but continuing on the track while that MAN was behind her was a bit difficult.
One of the big negatives of tracking alone is the dog doesn’t necessarily get used to working with people following along. I forgot that it can be quite an issue for a GSD (most of my work is with hounds and once they get on a scent they tune everything else out). I’m going to have to work on that.
Here’s some pics that Julie took of the beautiful Ostara working last weekend:

Over the shoulder shot.
Side view. isn’t she pretty in blue?
At the final article; she is dropping into her down in this picture.
Charlene—big congratulations to you & Momma Julie and a giant hug for O’Stara! We happened to share a bed at Julie’s one weekend. I just loved her!
O’Stara is the sweetest girl! Congratulations Charlene!!!!
