Hi, Judy,
Wow! What great goldens! I think the bone structure is superb on Brew and Rolex just melts my heart. The head shot is a classic! How long have you been breeding these beauties? Have you also always had a shepherd or is this your first one?

Margot, hi – thanks! I have been involved with goldens for the past 35+ years now. Both of these boys go back to my original dogs. I love the head shot, too :~)
I have always had a shepherd – sounds odd to say, but they have always been my heart dog! I grew around my uncle’s gsd, Rex, who clearly tolerated me, my constant pats, hugs and walks – he was completely devoted to my uncle. The other gsd in my life as a child was a seeing eye dog, Crystal, that I used to walk for the owner when she was having her hair done. I grew up in Chicago and we lived in an apartment above a beauty shop. I used to close my eyes sometimes when I walked her :~) The next gsds in my life were Duke and Dutchess who lived next door to us in Arlington Heights IL where we moved when I was 12. They obtained Duke as a puppy and he adored me – how I loved that boy! From there I had my own gsd in ’73, and another in ’74, Lady and Heather (both already named). Lady was one of the best dogs I have ever had. She was tormented by kids as a young girl and came to me when she was a year of age. I was pregnant with my first child and Lady was simply amazing with my kids, and all others. They were followed by Shadow, an American gsd with bad hips, but a great heart. Next was my Heike, a sable bitch from imports – a gorgeous girl. Then Jade, who is my 8-1/2 year old girl, all German – she is a gorgeous black and red female with the most amazing temperament. She just “reads” you and is simply the best at raising all puppies. I would feel safe in leaving her with a litter of golden babies. She basically runs the ship around here, but has never had a fight. Pretty cool. Long winded, and probably more than you wanted to know, but there you have it :~)
VERY handsome boys! I enjoyed hearing your story of your life with dogs, and I know others will enjoy it also. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures and a little bit of yourself.
Best,
Julie
