Dear Mom and Momma Julie, you know life here in Washington isn’t too bad! I am sending you pictures taken of me yesterday swimming!! How fun! Now I just run in the pond and swim any time I feel like it – cool :~) My Mom says my bite work so far is pretty good – she likes it much better when I bite my tug toys than her, though. Oh, and tell my big sister Kayla that I like the hose, too. I wonder if it is a family thing?? My Mom says the German Shepherds she had when she lived on a lake in Wisconsin loved to swim, too. Plus, she says I am a good retriever. I wonder why she needs any golden retrievers then?? Well, we are off to go on another car ride – she takes me everywhere and shows me off. I try to kiss and not bite the people I meet :~) Love, Aslan.
Aslan! That is just way too cool! Kayla is soooo jealous that you actually get to swim in a pond. No pond swimming here…too many toothy things in the water.

You know, the field trialers, many of who train in Florida for the winter, say they always send their worst dog in first … just in case there are gators around :~)

I saw brother Schumi tonight and he is looking very good! Joe and Becky are doing a great job with his training. He is the superstar in his puppy class.
