Rudi and Friends

A part of Rudi’s socialization, we have been inviting
our friends and their kids over to mess with Rudi the rocket. He is now
Rudi the rocket because of the way he launches himself into stuff,
literally flinging himself all four feet off of the ground. However
this is only when he is wound up.

In the enclosed pictures he was being really good and allowing himself
to be handled by several different people. He did this without getting
nippy or becoming overly anxious about being held. His only shortcoming
was his intense interest in trying to remove their socks. We think he
may be interested in attending the olympics because he has decided to
try and dig a hole to China. We are not encouraging this behavior,
though the glee on his part is obvious.

Rudi has gained ten pounds since his first vet inspection. He is
getting noticably bigger, much faster, and definitely heavier, though
yesterday I thought he looked a little skinny in the middle. I guess he
is putting on the pounds where it counts. Peter
