Thanks for sharing. WOW! A perfect paradise for poochies and their parents. I will study these photos and see if I can incorporate some of these great ideas into my own pooch paradise. Your doggies look very content. Which one is the stick dog?
These were photos that were taken towards the end of the season last year. I had just purchased a new camera to take to Germany and was messing around with it.
I look out back today and it is so brown and grey…can’t wait to start planting and get some color back in my life!
Margot, I think the dogs are content…they get to be with us and that’s all they want. (They really are velcro dogs…you should see all four of them follow me into the bathroom!) My stick dog Jake is the very dark boy…to the left (Moe is on the right) in the last photo.
Terri and Brad have the most beautiful home. Little story to share about their home…when I was in my clinical rotation at the hospital near Terri and Brad’s house…I went for a walk outdoors with some of the staff from the hospital. We happened to walk by Terri and Brad’s house and I said “my friends live there.” They all stopped and looked at me…then they said we all call that house…”the castle.” Terri, I always knew you were ROYALTY!
Tif! Hah! The only royalty in this house are the dawgs! AND of late, mice! We have been inundated with mice this year, and you know what…GSDs don’t seem to care! Moe was laying by my side this afternoon and a mouse practically ran right over my feet and his flank with NO REACTION from my boy! Serious problem. Unfortunately, I find the mice to be pretty cute…don’t want to kill them. We use live traps, let them loose, and I think they find their way back into the house before Brad does. Hmmm. What to do?! Is anyone else dealing with this!
Hah! Good idea Tif! Just need to look at the posted video a bit closer…
B talked to a “pest person” today. He (pest guy) totally scoffed at our eradication plan. Said what you said Julie…”the mice are traveling beyond your drop point every evening…why would you think they wouldn’t be heading right back into your house??!!!”
He’ll be coming by next Tuesday to help us develop a more SANE eradication plan. I just hope it’s humane…
Terri, you don’t know me…but Julie does. I’m not going to ask you to design my yard, since that doesn’t seem to work. Care to adopt me? I’m housetrained and good with GSDs. I’m sure Julie will give me a good reference. I’ll get the papers drawn up!

Julie, you made me blush!

Wow! Beautiful yard, beautiful dogs.
My yard is almost half an acre, want to come decorate it for me?
I have been begging Terri to design my landscaping for me for years and years…. no luck so far…
About the mice, I think you need to set them free farther away from your home.
GSD can be really good mousers but your crew seem to think they are just more pets?
Ideas for the mice? Teach them agility.

Carole you hit on something…Terri is an incredible chef…
Hey…I could use some help exercising my dogs! I’m sure we can work something out!
Hmmmm, maybe I could get another puppy or two and say they belong to Carole! Some fine looking litters coming up Julie…
Terri, to heck with the paperwork! My bags are packed…I’m on my way!
