Ok, well …it came out so-so. You guys know, I don’t take very good pictures…so just image Wendi looking 100 x better. 🙂
My hopes for Qwendi are show and Schutzhund. But for now, we are bonding and getting a feel for one another.
I wore her out today…playing, eating, playing, eating…and that was me NOT her. Kidding 🙂 We took a drive to a local carryout and she got to meet stranger kids and did very well. They loved her…and they got 4 dogs at home.
She has nice drives and I’m working on building them.
I have the ball on a stick that Gustavo uses….but….instead of doing wrong, I’ll wait for the master to show me how he wants it used. Better to do nothing…than to teach it wrong.
I’ll probably start tracking with her this coming week. Just by tossing bits of treats about the grass…I like what I’m seeing.
Right now, her gut is full and she is content. 🙂
Congratulations, Terri! Wendi is beautiful. It sounds like the two of you hare having a great time! You are getting her off to a very good start with her socialization and training. I love your pictures – it’s hard to take a bad picture of a gorgeous Alta-Tollhaus pup!
Beverly,
Thanks….but you can see the huge difference btw my pics and Momma Julies’.
For me it’s hard to focus on a pup…while taking a picture. Too many things going on at once. So, my pictures don’t turn out so well.
Wendi is pretty cute. 🙂 She is alot of fun…and takes me away from work too often.
Instead of using the x pen…I’m using a huge crate…which works just as well….after her play sessions…she is happy to settle down in her “room”.
I am very happy with her…and she seems to like me OK? LOL
I’m pooped out by the puppy……. should be a song.

Thank you Barb, and thanks to Julie for adding some nice pics of my girl. 🙂
Tomorrow morning we will start our tracking training. Really other than eye contact and potty training…it’s the only real official training I’ll be doing for now. Yes, there is working to build on prey drive etc. Which seem to be ok for now.
I can start her on tracking…but I’m going to wait for Gustavo to let me know what he wants.
I’m working on her “stand” for her debut in the GSDCA Sieger Show. I haven’t entered her just yet…but she will be in the 3-6 month baby class. I see it as a good experience for her. Exposure to the “show ring”. I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure she will do just fine. So far, she has shown me nerves of steel.
Except……..she doesn’t like the heat. Today on our walk …she was begging me to carry her. I laughed Haha…Suck it up Buttercup! Ok….I did carry her for a little bit. 🙂
She didn’t meet any new people today….but…she did get to play in the puppy pool. I only filled it up a little bit…and she climbed in herself and wanted to eat my toes. 🙂
She has not turned down any food offered her….that makes me happy.
Not sure what else to say about her…….except she is sweet, she is nasty with her fangs, she loves to play, and she is a JOY and gives me many reasons to smile. 🙂 Thank you , Momma Julie
She is just beautiful Terri, and you are going to have so much fun with her … it’s in her eyes – a little smartie pants with lots of love to share … what could be better than that! I am sooooo excited to hear that you will be in St. Louis!!! Love, love, love all the pics, keep them coming:-)
Looking forward to St. Louis and her grand debut. LOL Her coming out debutane ball. Nah, but she is going to have fun tomorrow with Gustavo! I know she will do well…she’s full of the drives that she’ll need.

Ok…on the topic of pictures. The first 2, I took the 2nd two, Julie took.
Huge difference. Julies’ pictures are what Wendi really looks like…….I guess I don’t get the angle right or ????
That is why I don’t take many pics.
Regardless. Qwendi is adorable, snuggly, huggable, and Ohhhh what sweet puppy breath. 🙂
You’re going to get a lot more practice with taking pictures because we’re going to see lots of pictures on the blog of her, right? 🙂 She is beautiful and I look forward to hearing how your training progresses and how she grows. Good luck with her!
Jennifer, I retract my above statement….she no longer has puppy breath. She loves sardines and tripe…..OMG …barf!

To all, Jennifer is so humble. She has agreed to be Qwendi’s handler in UKC conformation. I’m not sure about AKC…..But, I know NOT for German rings. 🙂 Let’s get out our turkey caller. LOL I can only imagine Aarons’ expression! LOL
Hopefully, you will be willing to help ring side…I promise…NO turkey callers. 🙂
Oh sure, you and Jennifer show up 2 days before me, grab your puppy and head back home-snif, snif. Glad you have your Qwendi. Sounds like she is keeping you on your toes-have fun with her. Hope Jennifer gave you some photo lessons so you have no excuse for not posting lots of photos!!!
Lisa,
It was planned that way. LOL Interpol told us you were traveling west……so, we got in…and out….
We left you in our dust. HeeHeeHee
Come to St. Louis!

Congratulations on your new pup. What does Mr. DuKe think of her? It’s time for more pictures of him on the blog too!
Lynda,
I didn’t know you cared. 🙂 I’ve posted a DuKey picture and some Wendi pics. My pack is doing well.
Thank you
She is a doll! So gorgeous and you 2 have matching red hair. Congratulations on your new puppy. I bet she’ll boss DuKe.
