Thank you Lynda, Stephanie, and Robert for your blog posts. Sometimes I think I should shut the blog down and just put everything on Facebook. But it is nice to have this semi-public, semi-private place to share things, such as making my house smell like pot.
We need to have a puppy get together. Stephanie, Jaime, and Lynda will be the official photographers.
Oh NO!!! Please do NOT shut down this wonderful blog!!
Facebook has its place but the blog is special as it allows a “family of strangers” to feel connected with each other and especially to you, Julie. When Jack and I met AT people in person for the first time who we had only known through the blog we fell like we already knew them.
Facebook allows any “wing nut” to say anything they want. Most of them don’t even know how to spell the breed’s name…Shepard.. LOL!
We honestly believe that some members of the AT family feel intimidated by other AT dogs’ training and titles and other owners having great photographic skills. This should not be so as we are sure everyone would love to see stories and pictures of all the dogs, like we do, regardless of what the dogs are doing (playing in their garden, out for a walk, visiting family or friends, or at training etc). We especially love to see the dogs just being dogs with their families. Pictures taken with “point and shoot” camera or Iphones etc are just as good on the blog.
Come on all you AT people. Step up and help Julie keep this blog alive.
Let us know how your dogs are doing. People sometimes post when they get their new puppy but then seem to fade away. We know the dogs are still out there but how about letting us see what they are up to as adults.
If you can’t post the stories and pictures yourself we are sure Julie would not mind doing it for you, as she has done for others. We would also be willing to help and if you send us the information and pictures we will post them for you.

We LOVE the blog.
Lynda and Jack
Thank you, Lynda and Jack!
I agree that sometimes the posts of others can be intimidating which is why I so appreciate your honest posts. It is encouraging to know that even with all the success you guys have — sometimes there are just bad days — missed jumps, weave poles missed — or stopped mid-stream.
I love your competition posts and I love your travel posts. As many have said before, Aiden and Dylan have the life!
Nope. The blog stays…
Agree
Trust me, I haven’t faded away. 🙂 Just life happening. I lost my Dad on Valentines’ Day, my computer crashed and I wasn’t able to work for a couple of months. It’s just taking me some time getting used to living my new *normal* life w/o my Dad. Things are pretty ok now. 🙂 That’s why I haven’t been on the blog much…and…I hope it doesn’t go away.
DuKe (Cadence/Negus) is doing ok. He missed Dad more than Dads’ own dog! They got to be good buds. I promise to post pictures of him, sometime. I just have to find all the necessary things that allow me to send pics to my computer.
Terri and DuKe 🙂
Don’t take the blog away! I wouldn’t have been able to meet and get to know crazy Terri and DuKe without it! (I mean that in the most loving way possible 🙂 )
Hey Jennifer……….!!!
I resemble that remark! 😉
Terri
Oh no! This blog is irreplaceable, and so are the people on it!
NO, NO, NO, you may not give up the blog. Double ditto everything everyone else has said (especially the Crazy Terri and DuKe comment—-ok, Terri, just kidding, I know DuKe is not crazy). Queen Libby and Z-Evil one would not exist outside of our home if not for the blog. I would not know that Jennifer owned Ziva’s evil twin and ball junkieism is inherited or that Libby’s entire S litter were all as sweet and good tempered as she. I learn stuff from people that really care about their dogs, not some ad man with a product to sell. There are activities I never would have tried with the girls if not for the blog. The blog must stay.
HaHaHa! 🙂
DuKe
Well said, Lynda!
Julie, please do not shut down the blog. I have learned so much from it and feel like I know so many of the people and dogs. I realize you are friends with everyone on fb, but for those like me, who are on the periphery, I don’t see the fb posts. I have cried many tears over the years reading of loss, but I have also done fist pumps in celebration of successes.
I don’t post much on the blog — and I don’t post much on fb — but I am much more inclined to post dog / cat things on the blog as I feel I am among like minded folks. Many of my fb friends / family already think I am insane for having 4 dogs and 2 cats — I’m not giving them ammunition by posting photos of a Doggie Pool Party or Puppy Play Time — and declaring this is my idea of a good time!
I am guilty of not posting very often but I LOVE the blog. Maybe Carole and I, meaning Carole, can take some pictures of Kai tomorrow. He is such a sweet dog. He’s just a big ole baby and I truly love him. Tonight we were watching a small town redneck style parade, I would call it, going through our little town. Kai got many admiring looks from the people riding by and one guy called out “beautiful shepherd” to me. Kai saw a very large “breed” he’s never seen so close up before, a horse! – 2 of them-and when they went trotting across the road, he had to do his big boy barking, which I quickly silenced. He has a cute personality and he’s a good boy.
