Nuke and I had a lovely adventure this morning in cold ten degree weather – but at least we had sun and blue skies!
It’s so cold and dry it’s impossible to pack snow into snowballs for Mr. Furman to fetch. He doesn’t care. He says “MAKE IT SNOW, SMALL HOOMIN.” And then he chomps at the powder. 🙂
Love that dog. 🙂
What great photos. It is so amazing you get blue sky. Ours is almost always grey in the winter
Our skies are often grey in winter too. I love the bluebird days – unfortunately they also usually mean FRIGID temps!
Fabulous shots. I have the hardest time getting the shutter speed correct, with bright light yet dark, moving subjects.
Beautiful sky and handsome Nuke – quite perfect!
Thanks Andrea. I use a Canon EOS 7D and today had the 17-40mm lens on. For action shots you need lots of light, but if you have that then you can put it in shutter priority mode and just hold the button down and hope for the best. 🙂 The sun probably should’ve been at my back for best results, but that wouldn’t have given the view of the valley, so it’s actually off to our left.
Yay!!! Another Canon shooter!!!
Shutter priority and hope for the best – My sentiments exactly when it comes to trying to capture sharp dark, fast moving GSDs in bright white snow! I thought of bracketing, but that’s not really possible for this kind of photography.
As Carole and Julie always tell me – practice, practice, practice!!
You take the BEST pictures! You also have a fabulous subject. Love that Nuke!
Stacy, you absolutely ROCK! Awesome, awesome pix!
Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto to all of the above posts. Super photographs and a super subject, scenery, background, all super!
Fantastic pictures!!!
Wow! Gorgeous photos!
