Christmas Day was cold and sunny at the Buck Rub (the home of Alta-Tollhaus, sometimes also referred to as the Butt Rub) in Southern Michigan. I took advantage of the beautiful day to walk the property with Cabrera, Ava, and Funny.
4-month old Cabrera ( C-litter Pakros x Hummel):
12.5 year-old Funny (Faye vom Kirschental):
Ava (A-litter Ypsilon x Maika) she has two speeds, full blast or zero:
Funny is in the middle peeing on something to stake out her claim to all that is hers…yes and I took a picture, well it was a rare moment when they were holding still.
Ava:
After the walk and dog chores, I put a fresh pair of heavy wool socks, gobs of Vicks vapor rub, cranked up the electric blanket and took a nap to try to sweat-out my airplane-induced cold from a recent trip to Germany. I followed my long nap with a visit with Mos at the rehab facility. Mos had a busy day with many visitors and wiped-out. He enjoyed the visits, but no doubt wishes he could have been at home walking his property. It was a beautiful, peaceful day, to me is how Christmas day should be.
I wish all of you Peace, Love, and Joy for 2013.
XO
I’m so glad to read that you had a serene and lovely Christmas day. It’s been a tough year but you and the AT family have come together in love and support of each other. Now the only path is ahead and continued success for all the beautiful AT GSDs. Hugs to all.
Julie,
So sorry to hear you were under the weather. And hope you are feeling better by now.
DuKe says “Hi Grama Julie and Grama Funny”! “Ava sure is purty.”
U.P.S. just delivered his “Vellus” brush, and since I’ve outted him on the blog about being a stinker, his ears came up and he is being nicer about letting me *pamper* him. 🙂 LOL
Greetings to you and Mos and your family for a blessed New Year. My prayers are with you both.
XOXOXO
DuKes’ Mom, Terri

Julie, as always, Funny is looking fabulous!
OMG—Cabrera is to die for—he looks even darker than Chica! I love his black mask.
Ava is spectacular! I am happy to hear that the four of you had a joyous and peaceful outing.
What a wonderful way to spend Christmas Day. The photographs speak volumes! All three are looking fabulous.
All the very best for 2013!
Great day for a Christmas walk. Cabrera looks huge. Ava is lovely as always and Funny as always is fabulous. Hope you are feeling better.
Julie,
Hope you are recovering from your cold.
Glad to hear that you took a walk on your property on Christmas Day. I hope that means your knee is feeling better.
The dogs all look great. Aiden’s twin sister Ava looks fabulous. Keep the pictures coming!
We wish you a Happy New Year.
Love,
