I can’t believe it is July 4th again. You humans have strange customs but I am happy to go along. Last year I was so little and everything was so new and exciting. I thought we would go watch the parade again and then check out the turtle derby and go to the fireworks. Those turtles were fun to watch. But guess what? We didn’t watch the parade, we were in it!  Ina and I joined some of our Topline friends and marched in the Hinsdale Parade.  We got all dressed up for it. There was a marching band, horses, firetrucks and soldiers with very loud muskets and even fake cannon fire! Boy, do they make a very loud boom! We marched behind a clown. He did lots of funny stuff but I know everyone was really there to see us. Everyone wanted to say hi to us and kept saying how beautiful we were. Here are some pics of Ina and I with our buds Duncan and Rudy relaxing befire the parade started.

You are very hardy souls to first venture out in this weather and second for actually being in a parade in this heat.

What is the deal, you can be in a parade but cannot take pictures while you are in the parade? 🙂

Happy 4th!

LOL. Have not figured out how to hold both girls and take pictures. You would have been proud of Sade. She is so unflappable in every situation. I do think she thought everyone came out just to see her! I think the girls managed the heat better than I did. We took plenty of water breaks. (everytime the civil war guys stopped to shot their cannon). The route is very shaded with mature trees otherwise I wouldn’t have taken them.

Sydney is going to be upset when she sees Sade and Ina all dressed up and she was not there to go to the parade with them !!!

Happy 4th to you too.

Too cute! I agree with Linda, your girls are giving Syd’s inner “Prada” a run for her money!

They both look great.

Ditto Lynda!
Both girls look fab! Koda bear spent the day out in tge garden with me, hitting me with his jolly ball a couple of times an hour.

Don’t you just love their rock solid nerves? They are such a wonderful ambassador to the breed.

They definitely are the best ambassadors for their breed. I was not expecting the first cannon fire and we all jumped, the girls were looking for the sound but by the second cannon fire they didn’t even notice. What I love best about Sade is her evolving personality. She is so smart and her brain is always on.
