We headed to Wayne Forest in southern Ohio for some hiking and camping this weekend. Roman has his own pack and carries his supplies. This was for sure primitive camping…no tent, just hammocks. Roman, of course, has to sleep on the air matress between us. He’s not that primitive to be sleeping on the ground. He was on “guard” duty most of the night, fending off chipmunks, mice, raccoon or any other critters that tried to enter the camp site 🙂

That is the one thing I will never do, camping! I just can’t imagine sleeping in a tent, knowing there will be bugs that can crawl in and eat my toes or somethings. Ugh!!
If I ever do, I will have to bring 5 cans of raid and spray the perimeter.

Where you doing a Hunger Games re-enactment of Catnis sleeping in trees? Did you have mosquito netting? Is sleeping in a hammock better then sleeping on the ground…I might try it…then again I would probably break the tree. A mattress for Roman, he isn’t spoiled at all.
Much more comfortable than sleeping on the ground in a tent. Chris has a bug net on his. It’s the black covering. I went without, but used a can of off. No problem with bugs.
Roman is such a cool dog! I love that he gets his own mattress to sleep on! Looks like you guys had a good time.
