I took this picture on my cell phone this morning of Gavin on his 1 year old Birthday, he is the love of my life and my pride and joy, he continues to be everything I ever wanted, I look back on that picture on your website where he is laying with the litter-mates on the grass, and one little ear flopped forward, his expression melted my heart, and it was love at first sight, that he became mine is magical, we have been enjoying a 10 month love affair that just gets stronger everyday. Gavin is going to Petco with me when I get home from work to get a new toy, he’s spoiled just a little bit.
Here is the picture Lorie was talking about, with either Felix or Gunner, 6.5 weeks old:
Happy Birthday, to Gavin and all the G-Force kids! Lori, he is sooo handsome!
Garbo celebrated her birthday with a new toy from Toys4MyDog.com. and…
She spent the afternoon in her play yard, coming up with her own creative birthday celebration.
She has her baby pool in the run and today she managed to chew a big chunk from the bottom of the pool—while there was water in it! I double the pools for added strength. Yep, that’s right. She dove to the bottom of the pool and tore off little pieces. The outer pool kept the water level high. At first I couldn’t figure out why there were little blue pieces of plastic floating in the pool. She never touched the rim. Yep—my little Garbo dog is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker. 🙂 Wouldn’t want her any other way!
Garbo may never catch up to Lance for agility titles, but I think she can add SCUBA & PADI to the end of her name!
LOL Carole, this must be the bratty teenage stage, Gavin already destroyed my irrigation system on a 100 foot section of my fence, so now I have to water by hand while he lays there watching me, and he’s taken up fishing, the summer months I put goldfish in the horses water troughs and Gavin is OBSESSED with them, so much that so far he’s eaten 12 of 20!!!!
@LARHAGE
Is there a reason you put Goldfish in the horse’s water? Or is just for Gavin’s entertainment?
Happy Birthday to the G-Force litter!!!
That is too funny! I guess Gavin read the article that fish are healthy to eat! His fishing skills show that he has good prey drive. Not too good for the goldfish, though!
I’ve never had dogs that make me laugh so hard or bring so much joy as Julie’s dogs. She must have some secret formula that she adds to her water. Thank you, Julie, for all your hard work at raising such wonderful super pups!
I put them in because of the mosquitoes in the summer, plus because we live in the desert the warm water grows too much algae, Gavin thinks they are for him though! I swear he hears me from a mile away turning on the trough hose, he stands in the water barking at the fish, it’s amazing he can catch them, but he does. I’m guessing he’d really love me to put some trout in next time!
I am thinking of adding Goldfish to my pond, if they help keep mosquito numbers down, it would be worth it. But do you think that the Snapping turtles would eat them all?
I would think they wouldn’t eat them all, I have a friend with a beautiful pond with turtles and multiple frogs and she has very exspensive fish of all kinds, they co-exist pretty well, besides as Gavin likes to tell me. the fish are cheap and easy to replenish as need be. 🙂
Julie, I think your turtles would absolutely LOVE you if you add goldfish to your pond!
So would the ducks and geese! Not to mention the Sandhill Cranes!
Lori, you and Gavin need to take a trip to OR, and let him catch Salmon!
Take your camera along!!!
LOL! THATS A GREAT IDEA!!! It’s funny cause all my co-workers are giving me tips to keep the fish safe with things like boulders and ledges etc… the thing is, the horses need to drink the water and they are second to Gavin in roughing up the water, I guess thats why fish cost $1.00 for 10!!!!
And why aren’t these G pups running around the yard waving the downspout extensions at you?
Downspouts and watering cans are Rafe and Mack’s specialty.
Happy Birthday to all the “G” pups!!
Great to see the updated picture of Gavin. I have always loved him. I hope he enjoys picking out his new toy!
I will be looking forward to seeing pictures of ALL the “G” pups at a year old….Where is Garbo’s picture Carole??
He is really handsome. Happy Birthday to the G litter!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Gavin!
Happy Birthday Gavin! 🙂
Gavin thanks everyone for his Birthday wishes and extends his wishes to his brothers and sisters, Gavin picked out a lavendar Cuz ball, uh… yes lavendar, but he LOVES it and he just pranced around the yard with delight sqeaking at every step, the horses look at him like he’s from Mars. 🙂
Gavin is confident in his masculinity!
Happy Birthday Gavin! It is so heartening to read that our guy is not the only one being destructive! He tries so hard to be good but then that evil twin pops out. I looked at the photo of the two young boys and it is Felix with Gavin – I have the same shot from Carole, plus I recognize Felix’s little white hind toe. What a nice pair of pups – best thing is our guys have beauty AND brains! Felix’s new favorite spot to sleep is in the middle of the rolled up garden hose, with its holes from last fall’s puppy teeth – guess it keeps him closer to the source.
SNORT! That is too funny Ann!
I don’t even have a hose that is not covered in duct tape, and I’m not even a redneck!!!!!
…”Gavin picked out a lavendar Cuz ball”…
Well, he is from California! 🙂
LOL!!!! Ya know, we’re not all wacky out here!
