Wow—what a race! It was thrilling to watch Seattle Slew and Affirmed in the same race and then to have Exceller catch back up to the boys and win was just awesome.
Wow…that was a close race. I remember all those famous names.

That brought a tear to my eye, the sad reality is Exceller was a fantastic race horse who never gave less than his best, yet despite that heart his #%*€ owner sent him to slaughter when he didn’t produce, there is now The Exceller Fund to help save ex-racers from the same fate.
