Wow — sure makes me feel silly for being terrified of horses. My heart about stopped when she stepped underneath the horse… I just kept telling myself this wouldn’t have been posted (without a warning) if it had a bad ending…..

Ahh, that was so adorable, I LOVE my horses, they are the perfect end of the day wind downs for me, and were my rocks these last horrible months. They are fantastic creatures, that was so touching, girls and horses, no matter the age, I wanted a horse before I could walk. 🙂

When I was a teenager, I visited a friend who had horses. We were petting them in the barn, and one decided to bite me in the stomach! It was an awful pinch, right through my clothing. I’m not afraid of them, but I respect their space and determine their temperament whenever possible, like all animals.
I just received picture-text from my daughter-in-law. They were visiting the dog park in NYC with their adorable Great Dane puppy. She wrote, “Poor Dakota…Some Bitch bit a piece of his ear off in the dog park on Tuesday.” The poor thing, a big gentle puss, has a bloody ear margin with a chunk out of it!!! People can be so irresponsible and stupid.
