You are the rotten one! It is 4 am, and my OLDER dog just woke me up to go out, while Dutch continues to sleep through the night. I just thought I’d check for any new pic’s, and I see this fabulously delicious silly sweddy balls ymmm ice cream, but I DON’T HAVE ANY IN MY FREEZER! Rotten temptress! OK, I hear Beaumont barking to come in. I’m going back to bed – hungry now and thinking about Ben & Jerry’s!

Get some ice cream LOL He will sleep longer and longer as he matures, Be thankful that he is waking you up, it’s much better than him pottying just anywhere. I would limit his water the closer it gets to bed time.

Dutch has only slept through the night for the last 2 nights. Prior to that, he was waking up around 4:30. And prior to that, he was up at 2 and 4 – twice a night!

We’ve been feeding him around 7:00 AM, Noon, and 5:00 pm. In the beginning, he seemed to always want more food than I was feeding him (1 1/2 cups total, plus treats). I increased his food to a total of 2 cups/day 3 days ago. He finishes it all hungrily, but seems more satisfied. I think he sleeps better when he’s not so hungry all the time.

I’m a little worried about feeding him too much, because the Fromm Puppy Gold recommends a maximum of 1 1/2 cups daily for large breeds aged 6 – 11 weeks. He is extremely active, however, with all the play time and training throughout the day (we’re home with him all the time).

Someone is surely going to write back that I am in big trouble!!!

I am going to write back that I think you are doing an excellent job. The bottom-line is you have to go by what you observe with your puppy. You sound right on top of it.
