How often do you give these? I bet they do love them, I will have to check on them. Thanks for sharing.

I just received my order of 12″ odorless (I hope!) bully sticks and a nice medium sized antler from bullystickshop.com for Dutch. We’re going to give him a bully stick and the antler when we go out to dinner tonight. It will be the first time we’ve gone out since he arrived. I feel like I should have hired a baby sitter!
It is good to leave the little guys for awhile. If he is crated with something good he should be fine for you to go out to dinner. Don’t make a big deal out of you leaving or coming home and it won’t bother Dutch one bit.
Hee hee!! I remember our weekend away after we brought Roman home. I had my mom drive to Michigan from Ohio to baby sit!

Thank you for that reminder, Carole – I’ll try to keep it low key. I remember reading that somewhere. He’s rather exhausted anyway, after his first downtown visit today. People of all different sizes, shapes, and colors were petting him. He even discovered that wheelchairs carry very friendly people, and people walking slowly with canes love puppies.
I found a website for them. http://www.bestbuybones.com And great news – – they have BULLY STICKS! Because none of us can get enough of the bully sticks… ๐ ๐

Roman doesn’t dig the smoked bones, but he loves the raw bison bones from Pet Supplies Plus in the freezer section.
Unfortunately they don’t sell retail. I’ll have to check the local Pet Supplies Plus.

At 2 months, Max just wanted to suck all the flavor off these bones. Now when I put them in his crate he devours the bone in about 30 minutes and breaks it in two. I’m thinking I might need a case of these from you Julie! Can you order directly from the website? I’d like to get some of their bully sticks as well.
A word of caution when giving your dog knuckle bones, too much bone at one time can cause very hard and dry stools and even an impaction. I have seen dogs devour a knuckle bone in a short time and then try to pass stools as hard as cement.

Have a great evening out. Remember not to acknowledge any “bad” behavior while he is in the crate, even yelling at him is giving him attention.
“Negative attention is still attention”. ๐
exactly!

Rita, I would call them “roasted” not smoked, they do not have that obnoxious smoked smell that you normally get with products labeled as smoked.
I’ll have to check those out. The smoked bones stink ๐
