We had a big wind storm last week.  We woke up to a loud crash in the middle of the night.  The house was ok and it was too dark to see outside.  We woke up to see a tree down – – it crashed the fence.  Mom was pleased somehow???  This was the same tree that for 2 years in a row has dropped a branch and broken the fence.  Dad was upset the tree is gone, but Mom was smiling.

Here is Dad steadying me on the tree

This is my BFF Mozart-he came over with my Uncle Curt to help with the tree

Mozart and I are helping

Why did Daddy have you go get the Jolly Ball?? We are helping him with the tree.

If you insist Mom- -we will play with the jolly ball even though there is work to be done

Catch me if you can Mozart!!!

The jolly ball is still mine!!!! Mozart 0, Libby 1

They are having a ball. Glad no one got hurt or you didn’t get more damage than you did.

@Al & Karen I have wanted this tree to go away for several years. Last year it took down over 1/2 of the fence, smashing the panels (and those babies are not cheap). Next year it will be useful at last burning in the wood stove.

That’s a huge tree! I am secretly wanting our bradford pear tree in the backyard to die too.

Look at all that sticks that Libby gets to play with!!

Looks like a beautiful tree, but probably was not completely healthy. I am happy no one was hurt.

I’m glad the tree did not fall on your house.
Looks like the dogs had a great time with the jolly ball.
