YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I am sure this tasted as wonderful as it looks. You are so right Rita, it has been too long since we had a food post! I have never cooked with annatto seed oil and I do not even know what it is.
That did it, off to the grocery, I am getting me some porkchops. Recipe?

Easy to make. Rub pork chops with kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and dried sage. Let them sit for a bit. You actually buy the annatto seeds and use 1/4 c in 1/2 c veg. oil and heat in a sauce pan. The seeds make the oil turn a reddish yellow color and have a peppery nutmeg kind of flavor. While the chops are cooking on the grill, you brush the oil on top. Super easy and super yummy!

Will someone PLEASE bury this post! You know that I’m addicted to the blog. Every time I open this darn thing up, I’m staring at Rita’s pork chops. Now I’m starving and can’t stop the drool!
