And you wonder why these two think they are so high and mighty?
Syd will be spending the weekend at Kamp Kayla so when I saw her bed I asked Barb if I needed to move some furniture out of the house. Here is her reply:
“Not sure when that pic was taken of Syd…it was at least 2 months ago, so she was a bit smaller, but NO JOKE…they are huge. My son’s gift to the pups when Syd was itty bitty…they barely fit in the back of our truck bed when he picked them up.
No, won’t be sending the “throne” for the weekend…actually she may come EARLY (just kidding). She sleeps in our room, but not in her crate for months because she has been so good. This morning we realized that the chewing sound last night was NOT on her bone but on our antique down & clawfoot couch. She destroyed two of the feet!!! I am not certain that it is a Chippendale, but it was hand carved, not machine done. I got it when we lived in Snowmass, from Sally Field…we knew her caretaker and when she decided to move to a more modern decor, she had him sell her antique furniture. We have a motto at our house “we never cry over anything that can’t cry back”, but I have to tell you … I was not so happy with little Missy this morning 🙁 I have no idea what got into her, she has NEVER chewed on anything but an occassional flip flop. Sighhhhhh”
I found this little story to be so darned funny that I had to share it with the family! The little Queen of Orlando will NOT be sleeping with me and Kayla. Hmmm, I wonder if she even remembers what it is like to sleep in a crate? 😉
How true is that Ann:) She really got me on this one…even when she was teething…nothing but
fingers, arms, and especially ankles beware. She swipes every single dish towel I own from
wherever it may rest high or low and kills it, but furniture never touched.
hmmmmm, something has that brain working…now, to just figure it out before Act II!!!
And she doesn’t try to dance around on your head when she is loose in the bedroom??? I would not have a room left if Libby weren’t in her crate at night. Sometimes we will watch TV in bed before going to sleep so she is out until then and she wanders around the room looking at everything. Her little brain is most likely numbering the order in which she will make her little mark on our stuff. Maggie sleeps by the closet and keeps her away from my shoes!
So does Monty get to go to Camp K also? I would have thought Syd would have tried to blame the chewing on that “mouthy” lab. After all, Queens do not chew on furniture> LOL
Only the Princess (she got demoted) gets to go to Kamp K. My son is going to help fill in for us so it will be a couple of long days. Monty is ok in the kitchen gated, but the two have to be crated when no one is at home. Besides Grizzly keeps bragging to Syd how he gets to go to Auntie Carole’s and sleep over and I am sick of the whining that she doesn’t get to do it!
LOL. I think you have just been lucky up until now. I am amazed at how fast Sade can search and destroy wooden furniture legs. Cannot leave this pirahna unsupervised for a second. Note: I took three breaks from typing this short answer to rescue in this order, the cable remote, a piano stool and a leather footstool. She is working on a water bottle now so I think I have a few seconds to finish typing.
Julie, please do not ask that question! We are dealing with two VERY competitive people! Next the dogs will be arriving to class seated on their thrones. 😉

I suspect she is going to be reminded about crates and other such things.

Beginning estrus and going whacky???
is that your glass of wine in the background, or is Sydney also be trained as a sommelier as well in between her ball training?
Hahaha, the sommelier training started way before the ball:)
btw, Griz looks very handsome in his new big boy bed!

I love your shoes Barb! Oh, I would not be so happy either if my antique go chewed on.
I think Sydney wins on this one. That is one BIG bed!
Talk about a queen on her throne…perched atop keeping watchful eye over her loyal subjects..all bow to Queen Sydney
Wow!!! Roman would be jealous!! He gets an old comforter.
Grizzly looks like a prince in his bed…but I am declaring Sydney winner of the “battle of the beds,” Seriously how could you top this?
