It has been really hot this week. Mom said we should go swimming in the lake. Wasn’t sure what a lake is but I swim in my little pool all the time. She said that I needed to wear this vest. Wasn’t sure why until we got to the lake. We went to Lake Michigan. It is HUGE and DEEP with WAVES. The waves chase you. I wasn’t sure at first but I trusted mom. All of a sudden I couldn’t feel anything under my feet. Scarey. Guess what? I was swimming. Mom and Dad stayed with me the whole time and it was fun. I swam back and forth between them.

She didn’t mind you putting the vest on her?
LOL. Not sure what was harder, getting the vest on her or getting her to stay still long enough to get some photos. She has to step into it and you zip it up on the back. Not easy at all since she thought it would be much more fun to play tug with it. Once on, she didn’t seem to mind it and I am sure it made a huge difference when she was in the water.
Baby Sade! She looks marvelous in her swimming gear and her coat looks great too.

She is, but I can’t take the credit. It is all genetics. She is a natural tracker and loves to work. She has already learned that she controls the helper by barking. She is just the cutest thing out there, thinking she is soooo tuff!
