I know you’ve all been wondering “where’s Nuke?” I’ve been out traveling for three out of the past four weeks so mainly he’s been bacheloring it with my husband. But this weekend we packed up and took him on an overnight camping trip in the Pioneer Mountains.
When we built the fire we learned that Nuke is the Worst Firewood Collector EVER.
That’s him stealing a stick from the actual fire and then running off with it. And here he is stealing from the spare wood pile while my husband was rigging up a rain shelter:
But finally we settled in to enjoy ourselves and roast marshmallows. 🙂
Nuke had the time of his little puppy life. It’s like he couldn’t believe the entire pack was OUTSIDE ALL DAY with him. 🙂 He frolicked through snowbanks, dragged sticks all over the place, and sniffed a hundred trees.
Wow, Stacy—gorgeous, gorgeous photos, as always! My favorite is the photo of your husband and Nuke chillin by the fire. It is something not seen very often. Thank you for sharing your wonderful weekend.
Good to see Nuke back in action! He’s such a stud muffin!
We were missing seeing Nuke and your beautiful, scenic pictures on the blog.
Nice that you got a short break for a camping trip. Great pictures.
I agree with Lynda, you need to share your photos more often. Your photo-logues are like mini-vacations for the rest of us not living in mountainous paradise.
Isn’t camping with ‘the family’ just the best getaway? We are taking our three up to Fisherman’s Island in Michigan this weekend. It’s not quite as scenic as your spot, but quite rustic none the less.
Absolutely beautiful, breathtaking views. Thanks for sharing them, Nuke is so handsome!
Camping is not my thing, I’m afraid of everything, from bugs to bears. Hotels are nice too. 😉
LOL Josie…but you have to admit if anything will inspire you to go camping it is Stacy’s photos!!!
I think Millie would totally agree with Nuke, having the whole pack together all day, OUTSIDE is the BEST!! We took her camping last weekend and she couldn’t have been happier!
Thanks for sharing these photos, they are beautiful, as usual!
Oh, I should have warned you about Nuke and fires. As a puppy, he was very fascinated with our bonfires. He would run right towards the fire. Nuke is so handsome…one more month until he is the big 1 year old! Thank you for the pictures!!!
Why oh why do I have a craving for camping and smores? Gorgeous photos.
