Today I was checking the area ponds and from a distance I thought one of these two swans was injured. What I had thought from a distance was the swan’s wing to the side of it was actually three cygnets lined up perfectly together taking a nap. I did not want to disturb them so only took a few pictures from far away. I think these are the same two of the swans I took pictures of last summer and fall so I’m sure I will see them again.
Gorgeous babies! Thank you for sharing.
Swans are born black and change to white? I think that is what I remember. Beautiful photos Lynda, thank you for sharing these with us. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures and watching them grow.
That’s great Lynda. I recently put a note on the blog to say that within a week of being born, the cygnets on our little lake had been taken by the snapping turtles. It was such a shame. Glad to see these little ones are doing well.
