Have I mentioned how nice the people were at the Topline show? Below is Al & Karen’s Sabree (Gorbi x Allie) with handler Rita. Sabree was shown for the first time in the newly approved long-stock coat classes. Sabree came in second to another very nice long coat. After the class was over, Pat, the class winner, tried to give Karen the first place trophy…when the heck does that ever happen? Well it happened twice at this same show.
Here is Robin with her Via (XBox – Allie). Doesn’t it like Robin is posing for the camera? LOL Long story, Via missed her class so she did not get to compete. The lady whose dog was the winner of Via’s class…guess what she did?….she tried to give Robin her first place trophy because, in her opinion, Via would have won the class had she been there. Both Karen and Robin declined the trophies, but I am sure they appreciated the gesture.
We were shocked when she tried to give us the trophy, what a nice gesture though. As it was Sabree did get a trophy in her class.
I did not know about the offer with Via, what a great group of people, to work with.
ATTENTION:
To anyone with a Long coat GSD this is a new class and we are just getting it started in this area. It is spreading like wild fire in Germany and all over, per the judge.
The people you meet, well enough said in the into of this post!
The dogs have fun.
When we went to NASS last yr. the lady with the other Long coat and us decided we might as well get this thing started in our areas, since they are now recognized in Germany, now is the time!
As you can tell we are so excited to be able to show Kapone, and Sabree now too!
Please consider entering, and know that we all will help you with anything you need.
We have a show coming up over by Chicago, the weekend of June 10th, and there is still time to enter. Entries close on June 8th!
Well said Karen!
What a fantastic time you all had – that’s great.
Robin you crack me up – on all the photographs and videos I have seen of you and Via, you both seem to be having such a wonderful time. I hope to meet you both sometime soon.
The Topline people should be giving seminars on Sportsmanship. What a great gesture—way to go, Topline!
