I have to laugh when I think back a few weeks when I was saying to Jean, that I didn’t think Allie was pregnant, I said “she just doesn’t look it.”  Jean, in her always very sweet way, reminded me I said that very same thing last time, I didn’t remember, but felt much better after being reassured by Jean….she just has that way about her. Not long after that conversation Allie sprouted her new baby bump.  She is now bigger then she has ever been, if she had 12 pups I would not be surprised, she is that big, and it is not from over-eating.  Allie is so big and so uncomfortable that finding food that appeals to her is quite the task.  She is only eating very small amounts at a time…no room for more.

Mos and Tiffany xrayed Allie on Tuesday.  Mos has started doing this little thing he thinks is really cute.  He takes the xray and numbers the puppies in the xray, slips it into the big brown envelope and then writes how many puppies and the gender breakdown. He did this for Maika’s last litter, he wrote 6 boys and 1 girl…and yep what did she have?  6 boys and 1 girl.  He was also right on Kira’s litter.  I pull out the xray, he has 9 little skulls identified…Tif and I see some possibilities that could mean a 10th pup, and if we get really creative we can see an 11th.  OK here is the part that worries me, I slip the xray back into its envelope and there it is, Mos’s prediction….9 boys…….  way back when,  I decided I was keeping a female from Allie this time…so that only increases the odds that Mos will be right. In the words of Monica’s Italian Grandmother, “Oh Dear, dear, dear, ohhh, my, my, my”  plus some tsk, tsking and clucking sounds I do not know how to translate into written form.

Allie’s temperature dropped last night so pups are-a-coming in the next 24 hours.

Hahahaha. That made me laugh! I hope you get your girl, maybe Mos is just tricking you? Yeah, lets go with that. 🙂

No No No, you need some girley pups–to musch testosterone is not a good thing! Be sure to hold Allie’s paw thru this-she (and you) are in for a sleepless night. If I were Allie I would be lobbying for a nanny!!! Maybe Grandma Funny can assist.

Wow..that would be a lot of boys! Hope all is going well and Allie has an easy delivery. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a few girls in the litter.

It is 1:51 in the morning and still no pups, lots of shredding, panting and some contractions. Monica, Al, and Karen are over and we are passing the time chatting, eating pizza and ice cream.

Hope you are all enjoying a litter of puppies at this time and everything went ok. I imagine that is quite a load off of Allie. Looking forward to more updates.
