By request of Lynda, here is a photograph of our other fury kid, Machui, who thinks she’s the princess of the house.  “Why on earth do those crazy dogs go out in the snow when you can rest on the couch?”

Thank you. Her coat is both gorgeous to look at and also to touch. It doesn’t really feel like regular fur, it is more like a pelt I guess you’d say.

I don’t think that Julie minds cats being included on her GSD blog!!
Machui is gorgeous and has marvlous markings…look at all those spots. She has the right idea, stay inside and keep warm!

She is gorgeous, is she a unique breed? I have seen some with special markings like that.

She is an F6 Bengal. The F6 stands for 6 generations removed from the first domestic/wild breeding in her lineage.

When we first brought her home, you’d never have believed she had any domestication in her lines at all – she was so wild, Matt thought we’d made a huge mistake and suggested we take her back to the breeder. I on the other hand, was determined to make her into the friendly kitty she is today.

She’s definitely a “Daddy’s Girl” though, so whenever she choses to go to Matt rather than me, I always remind her “if it was left to your Dad, you wouldn’t even be here young lady!”

Thank you. She’s actually got quite a split personality – at times she thinks she’s royalty, then she’s a little tomboy who wants to take on Kora and Niro, but never at the same time!

She is just lovely. I wish I weren’t allergic to cats!

Actually, Bengals are supposed to be relatively good for people with allergies to cats as they don’t really have regular fur, it is more like a pelt with much less dander than regular cats.
