Klara, a Maika – X-Box pup will be 9 months old in a few days.
OK. The picture above was taken at 7 months.
We’re having fun in the snow while it’s still here, because after that comes the mud – ugh. (These are 9 mos.)
Klara and Elise, our nearly 11 yr old GSD, will run around the yard together. Thankfully, Elise can still run pretty well.
Klara is about as nutty and mischievious as you’d expect a 9 mo old GSD – uses her water bowl as a ball washer then throws the ball in a bathtub or kitchen sink. Fortunately we keep the toilet seats down to remove that as a target. Her training is coming along nicely with her sit stays/ down stays holding well with distractions in multiple locations. Her dumbbell work and go outs are farther along than I was expecting at this point. We’re continuing some beginning Agility training, although it’s new to me. She is truly enjoyable. I love (almost) every minute.

It is so nice to see photos of Klara! Both your girls are very pretty. That’s fantastic that you have Klara doing go outs and dumbbell work and she’s not even 9 months! Goes to prove we have another super pup AND super trainer in the family.
Bernie and Mike, so nice to hear from you! Karen and Al came over yesterday for a puppy fix and we spent hours watching puppies and talking dogs. Karen was saying she wished you would hear more from Sabre and Kapone’s littermates.
Looking at these pictures Klara has the body type that would do very well in agility. it also looks like you keep her in very good condition.
Thank you for the post!
Julie, that was my first thought also, that we were just saying that last night! Id that kind of like ..Ask and you shall receive?
Klara and Elise are beautiful girls. I have found in the past when I had an older dog and brought in a pupppy, that the older one actually starts acting younger and having fun again. Do you find this true?
