Well now we know were Big Bird retired to after Sesame Street stopped production. What kind of bird is that and is it really the size of a deer?

lol Big Bird (aka, Sandhill Crane) was about 15′ away from the deer and on a little rise. I knew that there were cranes in the field but I didn’t know the deer was there until it was too late. Otherwise, I would have gotten into a better position. The deer had been curious about the bird and had walked up and sniffed it. The bird made its big-crane noise and the deer backed off.

Hey Carole,
Great picture. I shoot wildlife the same way you do.
You shoot wildlife out-of-perspective too?
