Enjoying a last walk without snow before year’s end. Just me and 8 beautiful dogs. When walking most of the dogs would run off ahead, if I would stop my forward movement they knew it instantly and would stop and head back toward me. This was my split second to try to catch them all together, but I could never get all of them to run ahead at the same time, 3 – 4 would always be staying close by me.

Thanks for the gorgeous photos, I’m suffering terrible seperation anxiety. 🙁
I brought Gavin out to schutzhund training and Gustavo worked him. He was VERY impressed with him.
So, is Gavin back with you for training? Still waiting to see him here for somr herding lessons.
Rich
Rich, I REALLY want to take Gavin to you for herding, he would be awesome, he tries his hardest to herd the horses, I have to really watch him or he’ll sabotage me!!!
Thats awesome Julie, sounds like he’s getting along just fine, wish I was…. I put all his toys away so I can’t see them. 🙁
I love those pics. You have the most amazing dogs!
Thank you so much Jon. I am very fortunate.
Julie, what lovely pictures. I wish I could say that Pieka instantly stops forward motion when I do!
I know I’ve said this a time or two, but it is worth repeating…
You have the most gorgeous GSDs with rock-solid temperaments. These photos are living-proof of that. This is not a group of puppies playing together. It is a group ranging from adolescent brats all the way through to the senior citizen and everyone is enjoying the day.
Thank you for sharing.
Very nice! Julie, the land you have is very beautiful, and tranquill. It’s awesome that you can take them out and let them run and explore with you. But just like kids, someone is always NOT cooperating for the photo. LOL
I do hope to get to meet Gavin in person while he is here, I have heard so much about him.
Yes, I can atest to the fact that Gustavo was very impressed with Gavin, I heard all about it as soon as I got there.
I can imagine how difficult it was for you to send him, but I hope you can find some piece of mind with it all.
Sincerely, Karen and Al
Thank you for the kind words Al and Karen, I do miss Gavin so much, his presence here was huge, but believe me I have no doubt he is in the best possible hands with Julie, this is a wonderful opportunity for him to fulfill his potential and I will carry on without him for the time being……… I think about him at least 100 times a day, he truly is my pride and joy, but he will no doubt make me proud, he’s an absolutely perfect dog. 🙂
Lorie, if Julie and Gustavo are working Gavin, he is in EXPERT hands! I knew your boy would have fun.
It’s too bad that we don’t know a good photographer in MI who could post a great picture of Gavin for us to drool over. 😉
Julie,
What great pictures of the dogs. I would love to be there walking with you and a “herd” of GSD’s in your beautiful fields. Ivan would love it too. Like Carole said, it’s great that they can all be out walking and playing together. Loved seeing the pictures with Allie in them and saved some for Ivan’s album!
…yes, it would be nice to see a close up picture of Gavin. I always liked him and wanted to steal him ….but don’t worry I won’t now as I have a great Alta-Tollhaus pup too!
Jack wants to know if there is a different way of counting in MI? It seems to him that there are 7 dogs not 8…??? Who is right?
The crisp air and gorgeous scenery must have gotten to the accountant’s head. 😉
I was wondering if anyone would notice. I had a 7 month old rescue puppy (not my breeding or I wouldn’t call it a rescue) he never left my side and hence no pictures of him.
Jack doesn’t miss a thing! He is very observant.
I second Sane and Jaime’s comment.
These photographs are extremely atmospheric. They make you feel as if you were actually there. Oh, if we only had half as much land to tramp through…….
