This morning I caught John singing Nuke a song to the tune of Story of a Girl….
This is the story of a dog!
He keeps me from sleeping like a log!
Though I hate the way he keeps me up
I really really like him!
He’ s my puuuuup!
LOL!
It took me until two in the morning last night, but our Christmas tree and other interior decorations are all up! Nuke was a major pain during the tree trimming process. He started out by gnawing on branches, then gnawing on the wreath….
(Okay that was a rare second when he wasn’t eating the ribbon.)
“Who, me?”
Then he pulled the garland all over the living room (I gave up and draped some over him so I could at least have a pretty picture for my trouble, but he’s the one who kept pulling it into a pile at his feet)…
Then he picked out his favorite ornament (it had a bell inside)…
My miniature santa hat? Chew toy. If you look closely you can see his adult teeth growing in next to his baby teeth.
I speculate those aren’t his adult teeth coming in, but that he’s actually part shark and is constantly growing new rows of razors with which to maul his victims.
And lest you think I tortured him with any of this picture stuff, when I took the garland away from him and then later stopped him from pulling it off the tree, he tried to nip me. That’s how much he wanted to play with everything (well, that and how he doesn’t understand why it’s okay to gnaw on garland when it’s on the floor but not when it’s on the tree). I am sure this will be a challenging holiday season. I put my favorite ornaments out of his reach. At least I hope they are out of his reach! So far he hasn’t touched the tree since I finished it, but we’ll see how long that lasts!
Naaaaahhhhhh, Nuke never touched a branch in his life. He wouldn’t do a thing like that. You must be making it up!
Oh, I can’t wait to see how this plays out!
Let’s see if John changes that tune…
I love John’s Nuke ditty. I think they are both keepers!
These pictures are great!
OUR tree will be inside an ex-pen or two.
Ours might well end up that way! So far he’s leaving the tree alone, but LOVES to pull the bows off the gifts. So now all the gifts have no bows on them.
