Ever since Julie mocked the Montana weather gods we have been getting dumped on with snow. It’s 12 degrees outside right now and the windows are rattling from the wind. I keep reminding Nuke how lucky he is to be a housedog. 🙂 We went out to Blue Mountain earlier this afternoon so he could romp around in the snow before the weather got too bad.

There’s lots of pictures of Nuke with snow on his muzzle today because I think it’s just so darn cute. He’s totally oblivious to it. I am sure I will take hundreds more just like this before spring arrives:

How does he get like that, you ask? I’ll show you…

LOL. He just loves to plow head first into the snow and then jump around like a crazy dog.

I also discovered he loves it when you throw snowballs at him. He jumps up and snatches them out of the air. Unfortunately since the temperatures have not yet gotten out of the teens, the snow is way too dry for good snowball pack.

And here’s a more dignified photo, lest you forget that being a puppy is SERIOUS BIZNESS:

That’s it for tonight. More later!

I love snow in Montana!!! Blue Mountain, sounds very story-bookish. I like the photo demonstrating the snow-muzzle decoration technique. Very cute. He is turning into one handsome dude.

When you don’t have a human or some other object in the photo for scale he looks like an adult!

Oh, he is most definitely one handsome dude! I have a feeling that Nuke will have an opportunity to hone his snowball-catching skills. He should check with either Rafe or Mac. I believe that one of those boys is addicted to the sport.

Stacy, I’ve stolen 9354-2, 9627 and 9649 from Flickr for future use. Let me know how to sign your photos so that I can give you photo credit. Would you happen to be a member of WDA? Better join!

Beautiful pix of a very handsome and charismatic pup. I love the Big Sky scenery, too.

Mac and Rafe would be happy to give snowball-catching instructions. Mac wants to have his snowballs thrown directly into his teeth so he can snap them apart. Rafe prefers a more traditional fetch. Mac also keeps barking if the snowballs are not flying at him fast enough. Be careful what you let your boy learn.
