Via (Alta-Tollhaus Ombré Viola) struggled for about 5 minutes getting this broom out of the utility closet, dragging it down a narrow hall and round the corner to me in the middle of my classroom.
Sweeping up is what she watches me do at the end of class.
The broom has fascinated her for a month. She also has a thing for the mop, the vacuum cleaner, the leaf rake and water in any form or container.

Allie says you forgot shovels and garden hoes.
Nuke goes nuts over the Swiffer. :p What a nice line of cleaning-focused dogs we have!
ah yes the swifter.
Trash bags? Cloth of any sort? Paper towels?
Now, if you can just shape her into pushing that broom around…..;)
Yep! Sure is related to her sister, Eva! So cute! And SHOVELS! OMG! Especially when they have dirt on them.
What a darling! If she follows in her mother’s footsteps, she will soon open the closet door to fetch the broom. It doesn’t matter what type of doorknob. Did Julie mention that? 😉
Julie forgot to mention the closet opening gene.
I forgot to mention the door-knob gene? Hmmmm how could that be….
Oh, goodness–coincidentally, Isa has mastered doorknobs in the past couple of weeks. She uses a combination tactic–sometimes jumping up with paws, and sometimes nudging with muzzle and/or using her teeth.
Add snow shovel to the list.
How much snow do you have in the Twin Cities?
We got about a foot and more is expected over night. Via tried to help by pouncing on the full shovel.
