K-Pony: I said, “Oh my God” so many times while this puppy was in the ring that people probably thought that I was praying.
Ivan: I think that Ivan was the dark horse going into this—that is until he went in and kicked butt! He looked great in his class and did his daddy proud in the progeny group.
Heike: I like how she captured everyone’s attention. Heike received a very nice critique from Dr. Lauber. I’ve included it below.
Medium-sized, medium-strong, of very good expression and with very good proportions.
High withers, straight back, well-positioned croup that should be slightly longer. Balanced
chest proportions, good angulations of forequarters very good angulations of the rear.
Correct front, straight movement, ground-covering gait with good front reach and rear drive.
By the way, it isn’t to shabby that Maika had two youngsters doing so well at this year’s NASS.
Fabulous shots Carole! Thanks for sharing Dr Lauber’s critique. I couldn’t catch everything he said at the time.
I didn’t catch any of Heike’s critique…thank you Carole it is a very nice critique. Ivan is this big-boned, big-headed dog that can move….you just don’t expect him to move as well as he does. He has an excellent shoulder and long upper arm, a rare combination. Kapone is a little show stopper, once your eyes land on him that is all you see.
Michelle’s Brady from Maika’s first litter also could have been competitive. The only thing holding Brady back is lack of ring experience/training….and we are trying to work on that.
As close as I was to the judge, I didn’t catch any of the critiques.
I agree with you, Julie—Brady will be very competitive with ring training.
Thanks for posting these pictures Carole.
Thank you Carole for the great pictures. The Alta Tollhaus crew, did an awesome job!!!
Brady will do a great job, with a little more training, he will be unstoppable!
