All photos were shot with existing light – overhead florescent light, no outdoor light. I had the camera set wide open, high ISO, and slow shutter speed. You will notice some blurring and the very shallow depth of field.
A lot of motion in this image, Monica just extracted this pup from the sack and she is moving quickly to get the pup’s airway clear. If you look carefully you can see an air bubble coming from the pups nostril.
Monica rubbing to help the pup use his lungs
and rubbing
Allie checking on the progress
And she did it, Monica just whelped her first pup! The pup is waving Hello. Good job Monica!!!
Now there are 6 – 4 girls and 2 boys.
Good job Allie and Monica!
Monica is so cool. She watched me, and when this pup started to peak I handed her the towel and said you do it….she jumped right in! I love her attitude!
I am happy that Monica is there to help you.
She is a keeper!
Oh—and I guess Allie is a keeper too! 🙂 Look at the size of these toads!
Way to go, Monica! Awww puppies!
Puppies are addictive, they are like a drug.
Super cool! I’m so jealous Monica!
Sarah your turn will come!
I love how in the midst of all this you are concerned about your photo quality. :p
Stacy, Julie is a breeder first and a photographer a mighty-strong second! She is a natural at both.
