Does this count as canoeing?
Hey guys, come back! Isn't there room for me in your kayaks?

Forget about it, Casey. This is my water kong!
Have you ever kayaked with any of the dogs? I am taking a class this weekend and trying to figure out how to get a dog included in my future river float/backpacking trips!
Canoe, rowboat, fishing boat, even a hobie cat, but no dog in a kayak. I could not bear having my big dogs sit on my legs – ouch! However, my friend takes her 30 pound dog kayaking almost every time she goes on the lake. I just got Gracie a life vest. Maybe she can go kayaking by herself – now that would be a nice photo op, for sure!
Now I’m really confused….. This isn’t the same property you posted before is it? You certainly have beautiful houses with the most gorgeous views.
We have life vests for Kora and DeNiro and would love to take them out on a boat but I have to agree, not sure either one of them would fit with me in the kayak. All I can think of is severely scratched legs – mine not theirs!
What is better than owning a second home on a beautiful lake? Being blest with an open invitation to visit super generous lake living friends who love my dogs. My Alta-Tollhaus shepherds are the most wonderful friend-makers. Have you noticed that, too?
Margot has many friends!!!
Super pictures Margot. It makes me miss the summer days in Northern Minnesota were we would spend all summer at the lake, playing cards, swimming, sauna, water-skiing, water-skiing, and more water-skiing. I would guess the water skiing has now been replaced by jet skis?
All the people on the lake had dogs and they were all loose, all the time, and they all got a long. Probably because they were loose and worked out any differences on their own and didn’t get all messed up with us humans getting in the way. Anyway after an “incident” we had to start putting our GSD in the cabin at night.
I needed two skiis to get up but would drop one to ski. Our GSD would retrieve the ski for us. One summer night he went all around the lake “retrieving” all the water skiis left outside from the entire lake. We woke up to a beach front full of skiis. There were so many skiis we couldn’t ID them so a sign was placed at the main entrance to the lake indicating where where their missing water skiis could be found.
She is so beautiful. I love the one of her on top of the canoe
