Mom travels with a companion who helps her protect the chicks. I just happened to see them cross the field heading to the shade of the woods. Soon all the moms and guardians will get together and travel as a large group. Since it was so hot I didn’t want to pressure mom by trying to get very close.
How many people did you say you were inviting for Thanksgiving?

What a lot of baby turkeys. Ziggy must be very proud.
Ziggy passed through the other day, all puffed up! I know that he has several litters around the area. He was a very busy guy.
