Are they smiling because it’s spring or because you look like a snack?
Carole looks like a snack? She is so skinny they wouldn’t even look twice at her.
Look at the jaw muscles, they have muscles on their muscles. How close were you to them?

My two best pals—talking about me like that. Thank you!
For the big gator, there was about 15′ from where Rhona was standing, and 16′ for me. 😉 If they are on land with a little water between us, it doesn’t bother me as much as those that are in the water and submerge. Too often I have seen gators propel themselves like a rocket!

The giant gator looks like he just finished a very large and tasty meal – please tell me you didn’t sacrifice you friend for a great shot – ha,ha! These photos show me that you are going in a new direction – extreme photography. Great job, Carole – be safe.

Good job Carole, keep Rhona between you and the gator!!! If the gator comes at you, give her a push forward and take off running!
